On the Go Oatmeal


One of our favorite breakfasts for early morning adventures is on-the-go oatmeal. If you want to scout out the surf and prepare for a day of catching waves, we highly recommend overnight oats. Aaron Koch was on a camping trip when he realized that he wanted to create instant oatmeal that included all of the same ingredients as his favorite plant protein smoothie. This nourishing treat is so incredible because it is easy to make and will keep you fueled for hours. Treehouse Originals oatmeal contains flax and chia seeds as well as sunflower kernels and pea protein powder which are packed with nutrients and vitamins. All you need to do is fill a half-quart mason jar halfway full with Treehouse Originals oatmeal. Then, fill the jar with the liquid of your choosing until the oats are covered. Our favorite is almond or coconut milk because both give the oats a creamy texture. Add some toppings like frozen berries, sliced banana, almond butter, and honey, then refrigerate overnight and you are good to go for a bright and early start to your day!

1 Banana

1 Tablespoon Almond Butter

1 Teaspoon Honey
